Most families who have a child or family member with a disability can experience social isolation and often feel that others do not fully understand the challenges they face. Kith & Kids provides specialist family support to help families feel informed, connected and supported.

Kith & Kids offers:

  • An experienced family support worker who can share practical advice and personalised guidance

  • A network of parents with lived experience for support, advice and reassurance

  • Up-to-date information and, in the past, we have set-up many outreach seminars for organisations and community groups

Family Support

We have a wide network of families who share experiences, both difficulties and joys.  We have started up “Parent meetings” again after many years, to allow established and new parents to get together, share their experiences and support each other.  If you wish to join in with these sessions contact Nicole nicole@kithandkids.org.uk

Being a family within Kith & Kids enables every member of the family, whatever their age or ability an opportunity to find support, make friends and to improve the quality of their lives.

Between us, we have a wealth of experience and wide range of abilities and interests. Whatever the issue – school, housing, benefits, leisure – we can support you to find the information, professional guidance and practical resources you need. Experience shows that even the most overwhelming difficulty can be overcome when we tackle it together. As far as we’re concerned, self-help is mutual help.
