The Kith & Kids Choir was founded in 2009 to celebrate the charity’s 40th Anniversary and has been bringing people together through the joy of music ever since. The choir is made up of people with learning disabilities who attend Kith & Kids activities, alongside parents, friends, volunteers and staff — creating a truly inclusive and welcoming group.
With a warm and lively atmosphere, the choir focuses on the simple joy of singing and sharing a love of music. The repertoire includes a wide range of fun and popular songs, from All That Jazz to hits by Bruno Mars. There are no auditions and no need to read music — just enthusiasm and a willingness to join in.
Over the years, the choir has performed at a variety of events, including collaborations with Vivace and the Metropolitan Police Choir, as well as festive Christmas carolling performances. Awe also perform at the end of our Social Development Projects. The group is passionate about engaging with the wider community and is available to perform at residential homes, community groups, social clubs and charity events. They can even organise interactive sing-along sessions.
