Initially beginning as a volunteer with Kith & Kids, she fell in love with the community-feel of the charity and saw how much of an impact the work has on supporting individuals, as well as their families.

Becca has worked and volunteered in a variety of roles, but the common thread through these is the desire to help, support and care for those who need it. She hopes to bring this into her current roles at Kith & Kids.

With a Master’s degree in Affective Disorders from King’s College, Becca views everything she does through a therapeutic, person-centred, lens. Each member is unique, and meeting them where they are is an imperative part of her role(s).

In her spare time, Becca loves spending time with her dog (Jura), going for long walks in the hills or simply reading with a nice coffee.

Lynne qualified as a solicitor in 1970 and married Lesley in 1966.  Their first child, Jemima, was born on 14 January 1971 with profound and multiple learning difficulties.  There was little help but there were kind therapists who encouraged Jemima’s liking for music.  5 years later they joined Kith & Kids and took Jemima to the 2:1 projects.  We continued with our family – two girls and 2 boys and Lynne became a trustee of Kith & Kids. He helped set up Disability Law Service, a free legal advice and representation service for people with disabilities.  Jemima died on 29 December 2023, and we were grateful for the support that Kith & kuds gave.  I still volunteer for the Spring, Summer and Winter 2:1s and enjoy the food chopping “therapy” with other parents and the evident enjoyment of volunteers and members.  I have set up, with the help of others, 2 projects designed to be income producing for the charity: a Wills and Trusts service, and an artist’s exhibition with their artworks for sale. 25% of what is received is donated to Kith & kids
